Walldorn Characters

Strange events are about to occur In the nation of Walldorn.
Amongst this chaos, four men from the village of Hilltop may find
themselves lost in the tides of madness, or perhaps the regions
only hope.

Mifyanor - Elf Fighter Chaotic -  Neutral

A male elf, originally from the elven district within the town of
Sorrowthorn, Mifyanor moved to Hilltop with his family at a young age,
and his parents run a general store in the small community. While being
from the only elf family in the village made him an oddity, Mifyanor didn't
make all that much of an impact. That was until two weeks ago, when the
local lord, Tholon Redar, sent men to various villages requesting an early
tax. This did not sit well with the populace, particularly in Hilltop,
where a mob formed to dispute the ruling. Agressively. In an effort to
maintain order, the lords men picked one of the louder members of the
mob to make an example of. This turned out to be Mifyanor. When the fist
hit his face, the mob surged forward and a short fight ensued ending with
the lords men making a hurried retreat. Afterwards Mifyanor gained a
reputation as the martyr who was willing to take a beating for his village
(helped a little by the elf himself).
Inspired by his self observed destiny, Mifyanor doubled his sword practice
and bought himself a suit of chainmail with the aim of becoming an
adventuring hero like those told of in stories, such as Mariel Thendrin,
who's tales are still spun through the local region.

Eadric Barrach - Human Rogue - Neutral (played by my brother)

A rather unassuming man in his late 20's, Eadric is the eldest of three Orphans
living on the Barrach farm. A decidedly pathetic plot of land on the western outskirts
of the village, the Barrach family were driven out this way as a form of ostracization
for some unspoken crime. With both his parents now passed away, Eadric found himself
with two younger siblings to look after. To supplement the income of the farm, Eadric
began performing favours for anyone in the village who would let him. Considering the
reputation of his family, this turned out to be not many and Eadric was forced to
employ less ethical redistribution of resources, from picking the occasional pocket, to
helping himself to a neighbours crop when it wouldn't be noticed. Of course there's only
so many times one can get away with such activities in a small village, so Eadric is
beginning to consider another source of wealth, adventuring.

Oswold - Human wizard - Lawful Neutral

Not much help around the farms, Oswold was remarkably intelligent from a young age,
which lead to him being noticed by a strange local hermit named Wenlow. Wenlow taught
Oswold reading and writing in common and other languages, and Oswold took to reading
from his large collection of books, which included tomes on a myriad of subjects.
He also taught him the basics of the strange arcanism known as mathematics. Oswold
took to this easily, and became familiar with many theorems and formulae. Having
mastered all the mathematical knowledge Wenlow could offer, Oswold began to enquire
of the secret books Wenlow kept under lock and key in his basement. Oswold was no fool,
and surmised from Wenlows many secret experiments that he knew more ancient arts than he
had been willing to teach. Eventually Wenlow relented, and began to teach Oswold the laws
that underpin the universe, and the eldritch spells that can be used to manipulate them.
He warned Oswold that there were darker magics however, that he must never trifle with.
With the knowledge of a respectable amount of arcanism, Oswold is eager to apply his talents
in a practical venue, and perhaps discover more ancient knowledge that Wenlow was unable
to impart.
Oswold is easily recognisable by his beard and the robes he wears.

Jon Smiffe - Half-Orc Cleric - Lawful Good

A half-orc, Jon Smiffe was an orphan raised by the local priest, father Corin Smiffe.
While half-orcs are little trusted, Father Corin's patronage has kept Jon protected from
much of the prejudice suffered by half-castes. Gifted in divine magics, and well versed
in the doctrine of the Thampthrin church, Jon Smiffe has the potential to be a vital
companion in the days to come.
